Arleen Sipat-Sutton is one of the leading luxury resort wear designers in the Philippines. Widely recognized for her aesthetics and unique designs, Arleen mixes luxe feminine with flattering silhouettes. The brand is the top choice of independent, fun-loving fashionistas.
Arleen hails from Southern Philippines. She moved to Manila in the late 90’s and initially worked in the travel industry. In 2004, together with husband Greg Sutton, she decided to start a fashion business. Arleen launched her ready-to-wear and swimwear line, Salsatrends, which immediately caught the attention of the fashion press. Shortly thereafter, she founded Azucar in 2009 which created a new milestone for occasion and evening wear in the country. Each Estudio Azucar piece is produced with exemplary Filipino craftsmanship, developed and executed to deliver one-of-a-kind experiences. Dressing in one of Arleen’s chic designs takes women to wanderlust destinations and beyond.
With her relentless passion, determination, and commitment to excellence, Arleen’s creations have gained a dedicated following and support of local retailers such as The Ramp at Crossings, Chocolate Clothing Co., and e-tailers, ZALORA and Seek The Uniq. Arleen has also expanded her product line and now carries accessories and footwear. Estudio Azucar’s flagship store is located along the designers’ row in the posh Greenbelt 5 mall in Makati.
